Athlete's Care Bone Health Program - Part A
  • Involves a 1 hour, detailed assessment which includes:
    • pre-activity medical and exercise questionnaire
    • postural assessment
    • fitness test
    • valuable information such as safe and unsafe postures and activities
Athlete's Care Bone Health Program - Part B
  • Involves the implementation and supervision, over the course 6-8 visits, of an individualized exercise program addressing:
    • posture
    • flexibility
    • balance

Individualized instruction and supervision is the foundation of the Bone Health Program, with the goal of creating healthy and safe exercise habits.  Once the initial implementation phase is completed, clients are encouraged to continue to exercise independently, with peridoic and mutally agreed upon re-assessments.

The Athlete's Care Bone Health Program will be performed by a Registered Physiotherapist.  Most extended health care plans cover the cost of physiotherapy.  You may require a referral from your family physician to be eligible for insurance benefits.
