Amanda obtained her Master in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario after completing an Honours Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. Amanda is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Orthopaedic Division and is registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She has currently completed her Level 3's with the Orthopaedic Division of Manual and Manipulative Therapy. She did her acupuncture training through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI).
A strong background in sport and dance herself, Amanda enjoys working with athletes and artists of all varieties and skill to help them return to the sport or activity they love. Her background includes participation in fastball, volleyball, swimming, track, skiing, basketball and dance. She has taught aquatics, worked as an instructor and choreographer in Canadian and Irish Step Dancing, and worked as a Personal Trainer (Can Fit Pro Certification). Amanda is still active herself in working out, cycling, yoga and various other sports. She has provided medical coverage for many sporting events including Skate Canada, The Brier (Canadian Curling Championships), The World Transplant Games and various marathons and cycling events.
