Biography
Karen obtained a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to this, she graduated with an Honours Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University. During this time, she provided on-field coverage for varsity and recreational level tournaments, including football, hockey, rowing, ultimate frisbee and the Toronto Marathon. She has completed post-graduate training in Acupuncture, Therapeutic Exercise, Athletic Taping, Soft Tissue Release, McKenzie (Level A) and Mulligan concepts. Karen is enrolled in Level 2 Manual Therapy courses and is a member of the Orthopaedic and Sports Physiotherapy divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Karen enjoys treating a wide variety of injuries whether it is related to sport or chronic conditions and has a particular interest in shoulder and low back injuries. She strongly believes in working collaboratively with clients, providing an active approach to treatment to maximize function and prevent re-injury. In her spare time, Karen enjoys swimming, yoga and running to keep fit herself.
