Karen graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she received an Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. She enjoys providing on-field coverage for varsity and recreational level tournaments, including football, hockey, rowing and the Toronto Marathon. Karen is also a Clinical Instructor with the University of Toronto Physical Therapy program. With interest in advancing her practice, she has completed training in Acupuncture, Soft Tissue Release, Mckenzie and Mulligan concepts and is a Running Specialist with The Running Clinic. She is currently pursuing her Advanced Manual Therapy certification and is a member of the Orthopaedic and Sports Physiotherapy divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Karen takes interest in treating a wide variety of injuries whether it is related to sport or chronic conditions. She strongly believes in working collaboratively with clients, providing an active approach to treatment to maximize function and prevent re-injury. In her spare time, Karen enjoys swimming, yoga and running while training for her next half marathon.
