For 16 years, Brenda has been the Clinic Director of Maple Glen Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic, providing physiotherapy treatment in the Maple/Vaughan community. Brenda graduated from McMaster University in 1993 with her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy. Prior to this she completed a 4 year Bachelor of Physical Education also at McMaster.
Brenda has extensive experience in the treatment of acute and chronic muscle and joint injuries, with years of experience treating post operative patients (i.e. Rotator Cuff repairs, ACL reconstructions, post fracture rehab). She has completed numerous post-graduate courses that include; Parts A through E in McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (back and neck); Manual therapy courses and courses offered by the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute.
Over her 19 year career, Brenda has been involved in the treatment of many Provincial Junior A, OMHA and GTHL hockey players and teams (Vaughan Kings, Aurora Tigers, Toronto Young Nationals, Markham Waxers and Thornhill Rattlers). A BATD associate dance teacher herself, she has been involved in the treatment of acute and chronic injuries of competitive and recreational dancers in the community of Vaughan.
Brenda acts as a mentor for new Physiotherapy program graduates. She is a supervisor for students involved in the York Region Secondary School Co-Operative Education Programs and also for GTA based Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma program students.
Brenda’s personal interests include golf, yoga and paddleboarding.
