Mindi started her career at the University of Toronto studying biology and psychology. She went on to graduate with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. While in school she studied the effects of muscle strength on knee coordination sense. Her research project was published in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association journal.
Mindi is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and its Orthopaedic division. She has provided Physiotherapy coverage for various sporting events including the Toronto Marathon and the BMO Synchronized Skating Nationals.
She is a Full Body Certified ART(R)Provider and is certified in AFCI acupuncture. Mindi has also completed post-graduate training in McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (back and neck), Mulligan Mobilization Concept, Prevention of Running Injuries and has Manual Therapy. She has also attended many courses at the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute pertaining to the back, neck, thoracic spine, sacro-iliac joint, shoulder, ankle, knee, hip and therapeutic taping techniques. Mindi is a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
She has extensive experience in treating acute and chronic muscle and joint injuries. Mindi has worked along side Orthopaedic Surgeons in a hospital's ambulatory care clinic and has provided treatment for many post-surgical patients( i.e. ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair and shoulder stabilization).
Mindi practises in a client-centred manner ensuring confidentiality, privacy and empathy. She treats each patient as an individual with their own specific goals. Her personal interests include long distance running and yoga.
