Leigh graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2002. He completed his undergrad in his hometown of Montreal at McGill University. He started his career in London at Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic and the Childrens Hospital of Western Hospital. Leigh moved to Toronto in 2003 and has been practicing at Pivot Sport Medicine and Orthopedics and Humber River Regional Hospital, and Rehabilitation Solutions at Toronto Western Hospital.
Leigh has been working with sports related injuries for the past 5 years. He believes strongly in manual and exercise therapy. To date he has completes his manual therapy level 2 and 3. He is currently working towards his Intermediate Certificate of Manual & Manipulative Therapy. He has also completed his level 1 (Part 1,2a, 3a) acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. Leigh continues to have a keen interest in sport physiotherapy and working with athletes. He has provided his services for sports teams like McMaster Universitys lacrosse team, local soccer clubs, ultimate Frisbee tournaments, Skate Canada and at various other sporting events. Most recently Leigh was the chief therapist for the Ontario Womens Rugby U20 womens teams who were the 2011 National Champions and he will be the physiotherapist for our Canadas figure skating team at the upcoming 2012 International Staking union (ISU) Four Continents figure skating championships held in Colarado Springs, Colarado.
Leigh believes in the constant advancement of physiotherapy in the community. He has dedicated his time to teaching colleagues, students and the public about the profession. He continues to pursue opportunities to advance his skill set and the quality of service that he and the profession provides.
