Biography

Henry completed all of his education at Western University including a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a Masters of Physical Therapy. Most recently he completed his Advanced Health Care Practice degree - a Masters of Clinical Science in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, where he also contributed to a research project on ACL reconstruction rehab. He has taken extensive post-graduate development courses and he is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (FCAMPT), the highest level of training in orthopaedic manual physiotherapy in Canada.

Henry is an experienced physiotherapist that enjoys treating all conditions and he has a special interest in acute or chronic athletic injuries, post-surgical cases and weightlifting injuries. He works part-time at St. Michael's Hospital where he has provided treatment for many patients post-surgically with various orthopedic and neurological conditions. (i.e. fractures, joint replacements, ACL repairs, spinal decompression/fusions). Additionally, he has extensive experience working as a team therapist for high level athletes in hockey, football and rugby.

He takes a holistic and client-centred approach to complex musculoskeletal injuries to develop comprehensive treatment plans. He uses a multimodal treatment approach that includes manual therapy, acupuncture and corrective rehabilitation exercises. He is a strong believer in taking extra time to educate clients to help them gain a better understanding of the nature of their condition and working together to develop a plan of care which fits into the context of their unique lifestyle and goals. Ultimately, he hopes to empower clients with the tools to improve their quality of life and reach their goals.

Committed to continuing education, Henry is also passionate about giving back and teaching the next generation of physiotherapists and you might often see him working alongside a student.

As of Monday December 4th, Henry is transitioning his downtown practice at Adelaide & York down the street to the King & Yonge location. Please contact 416-368-9990, or visit Athlete's Care King & Yonge to book directly into Henry's schedule.
