Biography
Jiaqi obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2020 and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2023. Jiaqi is devoted to life-long learning and plans to pursue additional courses to diversify and enhance his clinical practice.
Jiaqi decided to pursue Physiotherapy because as an active person throughout his life where he has been formerly involved in competitive sports such as basketball and swimming, he developed a tremendous appreciation for the human body and ignited a passion for learning more about its intricacies. Outside the clinic Jiaqi continues to adopt an active lifestyle through weightlifting and pickleball. Jiaqi is fluent in Mandarin.
As a Physiotherapist, Jiaqi strongly believes in the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships with his clients, and to proactively engage clients as a key member in their own rehabilitation journeys to achieve their personal goals. Additionally, Jiaqi believes in applying a comprehensive treatment approach where he likes to consider all aspects of the client?s story, and utilizes manual therapy, patient education, and individualized exercise prescription in order to maximize function and produce optimal treatment outcomes
