Amanda received her Master's of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto and completed a Honours Bachelors of Kinesiology degree at McMaster University.
Amanda has been highly involved in fitness and rehabilitation throughout her life. Growing up, she was a competitive dancer and gymnast, where she became familiar with many sports injuries and physiotherapy and massage therapy appointments!
Afterwards, finding an interest in the human body and performance, she worked for 3 years as a certified personal trainer while completing her Kinesiology degree. Naturally, all of these experiences have led her to the path of a physiotherapist. Her background gives her a firsthand insight into the mental and physical demands of competitive sport and allowed her to develop a strong foundation in strength and movement training.
Amanda continues to develop her clinical abilities through continuing education in areas such as vestibular and concussion rehabilitation as well as various manual therapy approaches (ie. Mckenzie, Mulligan). Now, Amanda uses her combined athletic and clinical expertise to guide patients of all ages and abilities through their recovery. She aims to empower her patients, rebuild their confidence, and help them return to the life and activities they love!
Outside of the clinic, Amanda enjoys crocheting, painting, reading, and trying new restaurants.
