Biography
Dr. Presvelos is a Sports Medicine physician with Athlete's Care at the King and Yonge location. He treats a variety of musculoskeletal presentations from acute injuries to chronic concerns. He is a strong advocate for physical activity of all levels and age groups and always keeps his patients' goals in mind with his treatment recommendations. Dr. Presvelos is proficient in a wide array of injections, including cortisone and PRP. After completing his undergraduate studies in Biology and Psychology at York University he obtained his Medical Doctor degree at Queen's University. He went on to do his family medicine training at the University of Toronto through Sunnybrook Hospital followed by enhanced skills training in Sports Medicine also at the University of Toronto.
Throughout his training, Dr. Presvelos gained first-hand experience working with high-level athletes at the University of Toronto, Basketball Canada, and the Ontario Hockey League. He currently divides his clinical time between his Sports Medicine clinic, urgent care, and emergency medicine. He is currently the head team physician for the Oshawa Generals of the OHL. Academically, Dr. Presvelos enjoys staying involved with the University of Toronto by teaching residents and paying forward the great medical education he was fortunate to receive.
