"Marieta Akalski is my RMT. I can't say enough about Marieta. I have been seeing her over a year now and she has been an absolute blessing. She is very professional, knowledgeable and most importantly, caring. I started to see her when I began to experience tightness in my back and neck area. She not only worked on me but she provided me feedback on things i can do on my own to help myself. I have recommended Marieta to my work and family friends. You have a real asset in Marieta, I hope she gets recognized for the truly amazing job she does with her clients." C.S - Yonge & Sheppard at Empress Walk in North York

"I have been running for over 20 years. Unfortunately about 3 years ago, my glutes/hips stopped co-operating to such a degree that I was limping after sitting for a prolonged period. I sought help from Athlete’s Care. Dr. Christina Voldner did an assessment on my condition, performed some ART and combined treatment with acupuncture with electronic stimulation. The improvement was like a miracle. Christina suggested a few more sessions, and the pain disappeared. I was back to running pain free and my form improved. What I like about Athlete’s Care is that once your problem is fixed, they do not ask you to keep coming back. They recommend specific exercises to prevent recurrence. Since that time I have referred quite a few of my running friends to Christina for help. They also praise her dedication and advice. We sometimes refer to ourselves as “ Christina Groupies”. Knowing the importance of a runner’s focus, Athlete’s Care will strive to get you back in shape for your next race , so they will explain what needs to be done, perform that work (ART, acupuncture, taping, etc) and get you race ready." "I am writing to share with you the outstanding care I have received at the Location in Scarborough at 200 Consilium Place. I am currently a patient of Dr. Abughaduma. Several years ago I was injured at work. My shoulder and elbow were injured in what is called a repetitive motion injury in 2007. In February of 2012, I saw a surgeon that WSIB sent me to. The surgery was performed arthroscopically. The surgeon performed a rotator cuff decompression, ligament release, and an acromioplasty. My expectation was only for pain relief, and I was fairly satisfied. I was referred back to the same surgeon in December of 2012 so he could assess the elbow and reassess the shoulder as the pain had returned and was excruciating. He recommended more cortisone in the shoulder and elbow(previously have 5 injections in shoulder and 4 in elbow) I insisted on a second opinion, and my family physician sent me to Dr. Abugadhuma. After reviewing my MRIs and Xrays, he offered to perform a tendon release and thought we would have a very good outcome. The MRI of the shoulder revealed a fairly large spur that was probably missed in the previous surgery. Dr. Abugadhuma has agreed to try a cortisone in the shoulder to try and relieve the shoulder pain and has suggested some Shock Wave therapy. I wish I had met this outstanding Surgeon before my first surgery. He has the best bed side manner of any Doctor I have met. He spends time with me, answers all questions, makes me feel very comfortable and assured, and never makes me feel like I am taking too much of his time. The office is run like a swiss watch. Once the referral had been sent, I spoke to Jessica, explained I was off work, and would take any cancellation I could get. She got me in within 2 weeks, and surgery was booked immediately. About 2 weeks after my surgery I was having some severe pain, and called the office and was given an appointment the next day. I have now visited the office 3 times, and have always been seen at appointment time or a bit earlier. I can’t tell you how impressive this practice is. Kudos!!!!!" "I am a client at Athlete's Care (at Empress Walk)and have had the wonderful opportunity to be assisted by your receptionist Tahnee, when booking appointments and when checking in at my appointments. She is always very helpful in answering questions that I may have and is always extremely friendly and always provides such excellent client care & service. She always goes the "extra mile" to make sure that I am well looked after. It is a pleasure to be greeted by someone so friendly! You definitely have a "gem" of a receptionist." "I hurt my arm playing squash; typical golf/tennis elbow injury. Traditional physiotherapy was not working. In fact after 3 month of treatment my arm was only getting worse – to the point that I had difficulty holding a cup of coffee in my right hand. I approached the squash pro at my club for help and was referred to Dr. Prebeg advising he was a “soft tissue guy”. Dr. Prebeg quickly assessed my injury advising that he could help. His treatment of electro acupuncture and ART massage quickly repaired my hopeless situation to the point that I had started playing squash after about 10 treatments. Without Dr. Prebeg’s help I would have been facing altering my lifestyle and no idea how my arm would have healed. If you have a soft tissue injury I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Prebeg for an assessment and seek his advice regarding treatment of your injury." A. "My session with the massage therapist was very professional/personalized/effective. I've been to many different therapists and the one I saw, by far, exceeded my expectations." Athlete's Care Keele & Steeles on campus at York University

"My time spent with Dr. Prebeg was amazing. Through him I learned a lot about my body and how it functions. The knowledge I learned enabled me to make better choices that ultimately extended my football career. Ever the teacher Dr. Prebeg walk and talked me through every procedure. Scar tissue that I had carried for many years was gone and I was noticeably more flexible. I’m grateful to have met Dr. Prebeg and to have worked with him." Isaac Bruce, WR – San Francisco 49ers
