Biography
Gabriela is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to finishing her Masters degree, Gabriela attended The University of Waterloo and obtained her Honours Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, with a minor in Rehabilitation Sciences. Early on in her studies, Gabriela was a teaching assistant in the human anatomy laboratory. This experience sparked Gabriela's interest in the human body, with a particular interest in its intricate anatomy and physiology.
Gabriela has spent time working in not only a variety of health care settings, but also with a wide variety of patient populations. This includes; intensive acute care, rehabilitation care, and community care settings. Most recently, she has been focusing her practice in orthopaedics, including athletes of all ages, and helping individuals along their own path to achieving a healthy and active lifestyle.
In her spare time, you can find Gabriela taking on new adventures and finding fun ways to lead an active lifestyle herself, as of most recent, this includes spin classes, hot yoga, and hiking in the beautiful fall colours. Her true passion lies in helping every individual on their path to maximizing their quality of life through enhancing their function in not only their daily life, but with all their activities, hobbies & athletics!
