Katherine graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to entering her master's, Katherine completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at the same university. During both degrees, Katherine worked as a student researcher in the Human Anatomy Department at the University of Toronto and was able to contribute to a number of research projects aiming to further understand the intricacies of the human body.
Through physiotherapy, she has been able to apply this in-depth anatomical knowledge to her understanding of the complexity of movement and how injuries can affect our ability to function. Katherine uses manual therapy techniques, medical acupuncture and exercise prescription to help clients feel better and achieve their goals.
Katherine has had the opportunity to work in a wide range of physiotherapy settings, ranging from acute care to inpatient rehabilitation to private practice orthopedics. Shehas focused on employing a holistic patient-centered approach to help each patient work towards individual goals using treatment plans that fit their unique lifestyles.
Katherine is a part of the Runner's Program at Athlete's Care. She understands how central running can be to a person's well-being and greatly enjoys helping runners achieve their goals, whether it be healing a large or small injury, how to improve your running gait or how to train for your upcoming race.
Outside of work, Katherine loves to enjoy an active life in the city and can be found biking around town, playing squash, catching a yoga class, or strolling through parks.She understands the personal importance of hobbies and is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love.
