Biography
Mairelis is a Registered Massage Therapist, passionate about helping athletes, post-surgical patients, and MVA patients recover and return to what they love. As a Valedictorian graduate of Trios College and former Personal Support Worker, she has deep experience in patient care, including managing dementia patients with a gentle, persuasive approach.
A former gymnast since age 5, she understands the importance of movement, performance, and injury prevention. She feels deeply empathetic toward patients'; frustration with pain, which allows her to connect and support them more effectively. Mairelis takes a holistic approach to treatment, addressing the root cause of discomfort while supporting the body's natural healing process.
Mairelis specializes in Sports Massage, Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Myofascial Decompression (Cupping). She is also certified in Hot Stone Therapy, Indian Head Massage, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) techniques. Mai works with diverse populations including athletes, prenatal/postnatal, geriatric, and patients with chronic pain or soft tissue injuries.
Known as 'Mai' to her patients, she creates a calm, supportive space where you feel heard and cared for. Mai is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her free time, Mai loves to study, dance, and spend time in nature through outdoor activities that keep her active.
