Ratna Purohit graduated with a Masters in Rehabilitation Science from McGill University. Ratna has extensive experience treating patients of all ages with variety of orthopedic and sports injuries, work related and motor vehicle injuries, and concussion and vestibular disorders. For the past few years, her interest in the area of concussion and vestibular rehabilitation has led her to do advanced learning in order to provide updated and evidence-informed quality care to her patients.
Her assessments focus on identifying the root cause of a physical problem using physical testing as well as identifying the lifestyle and/or psychosocial factors contributing to pain. She is a certified provider of treatment approaches including, but not limited to, Manual Therapy such as The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), Medical Acupuncture and Dry Needling, and Mulligan Concept. She also works with her clients to develop exercise programs tailored to their needs and provides consistent feedback and education.
Ratna is very passionate and motivated to help her clients to understand and listen to their body and identify problematic movement patterns. This empowers her patients to improve their body awareness, prevents injuries and promotes faster recovery.
She is currently pursuing Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy as a specialty and is actively expanding her certifications and training. When not at work Ratna keeps herself active with strength training, Yoga, and hiking.
