Shabdit Shah is a graduate of the University of Toronto Master of Science in Physical Therapy program. Since 2017 he has worked as a Registered Physiotherapist at Athletes Care Sports Medicine Centres & took on the role of Clinic Director at the Yorkville location in the fall of 2019.
Additionally, in June of 2019, he was appointed as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Shab continues to teach as a clinical instructor for student placements through the University of Toronto since 2018, teaching both first-year and final year Master's students.
Shab has clinical experience working in outpatient orthopaedics, geriatric rehab, stroke rehab, cardiovascular ICU and vestibular rehab. He received Distinction Honours during his placements at Toronto General Hospital in both the cardiovascular ICU/cardiac wards & the Hertz Clinic for his work with cardiac patients & vestibular rehab patients respectively. A keen learner, Shab has completed the following coursework: CAMPT Manual Therapy Level 2 Upper & Lower, Vestibular Rehabilitation through the Advanced PT Education Institute, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University, and Sport Taping at the University of Toronto. Shab is also a GLAD Canada Certified Instructor, as well as an American PT Association Credentialed Clinical Instructor.
He is formerly a member of the University Health Network Clinical Learner Leadership Advisory Committee and was a student liaison to both the Ontario Physiotherapy Association, and Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
