Dr. Kevin Koo completed his undergraduate degree (BSc.H) in theoretical chemistry and mathematics at Queens University. Following this, he earned his medical degree (MD) from the University of Toronto and was the class president of his graduating year. Subsequently, he completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery with the University of Toronto. He completed a fellowship in lower limb reconstruction and arthroplasty at Mount Sinai Hospital and a second fellowship in complex spines reconstruction and trauma at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Koo has received numerous clinical, community and academic awards for his work within and outside of the hospital. He currently practices at Markham Stouffville Hospital with clinical interests in spines, lower limb reconstruction, and trauma. He also practices out of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center as a Clinical Associate in Spines Trauma and as a WSIB Consultant.
Dr. Koo is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Orthopaedic Surgery.
