Biography

Dr. Matthew Booth earned his degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, after completing a Bachelors of Science degree from York University. He has also completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Certification from McMaster University.

Dr. Booth first gained his clinical experience at St. John?s Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto, and then spent over a decade running a busy practice in Ottawa focusing on chronic pain management and sports injuries, focusing heavily on injury prevention/rehabilitation and optimal performance programs for runners, golfers, hockey players, and power lifters, and more. Dr. Booth has completed research in the assessment and treatment of knee pain, and has worked as a contract professor for the University of Ottawa's medical program.

With a strong focus on manual therapies, rehabilitative exercise, and patient education, Dr. Booth has a philosophy based around finding the root cause of each patient's issues and empowering them to take control of their health. Treatment sessions focus on improving mobility through joint mobilizations, and manipulation, soft tissue therapies like ART and Graston Techniques, dry needling and electro-acupuncture when warranted for pain control, and patient education and prescribed exercise. His belief is that every patient should leave their appointment not only feeling better, but feeling that they've been given the tools to keep improving.

Outside of the clinic Dr. Booth practices what he preaches with daily exercise, and can often be found playing pick-up hockey, on the golf course, or in the Beaches strolling the boardwalk and Queen St. with his wife and three children.
