Biography

Farzana is a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE). Farzana provides professional ergonomics consulting services for Office, Industrial and Service environments including: Ergonomics Risk Assessments (in-person / virtual), Physical Demands Analyses (PDAs), and Ergonomics Training sessions and webinars.

Farzana is currently the provider of ergonomics services for several large-scale companies including Government of Canada, Ministry of Ontario, and CBC. Her role at these companies includes:

Conducting in-person and virtual ergonomics assessments for the following:
- Employees who have been diagnosed with a medical condition that could impact their work;
- Employees whose health care providers have recommended an ergonomics assessment;
- Employees who continue to experience symptoms following the preliminary ergonomics review conducted by in-house 'Ergo Reps';
- Employees who have been involved in MVAs (motor vehicle accidents) and, consequently, insurance companies have recommended an ergonomics assessment; and
- Employees with physical attributes that are outside the range of the 5th percentile female to 95th percentile male.
- Conducting Lunch-and-Learn in-person sessions and webinars in Office Ergonomics.
- Conducting Train the Trainer sessions so that in-house 'Ergo Reps' can perform preliminary ergonomics reviews prior to enlisting the services of a consultant

Farzana is a member of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE) where she served a two-year term as BC/Yukon Regional President (2009-2010) and three two-year terms as Ontario Regional Secretary (2013-2018).
