Jeanie completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Queen's University and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University. She has a strong passion for sport and exercise and believes its benefits are immeasurable. Jeanie values using an active approach that consists of education, exercise and lifestyle modification strategies with some manual therapy to help patients become better, more robust and resilient. She does this through individualizing her sessions based on the patients ability and experience, and keeping things simple and practical.
As a big believer of exercise, Jeanie is currently working toward her strength and conditioning certificate from the NSCA to learn more about advanced exercise prescription. She also looks forward to taking courses in concussion management, taping and protective equipment application, and hopes to eventually obtain her Certificate and Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy.
Outside of the clinic, Jeanie is involved in the Sport Physiotherapy Canada executive committee in leading health promotion of athletes and active individuals. She also likes to stay active through playing volleyball and basketball, lifting weights and going to fitness classes (BodyCombat and BodyPump) at the gym!
