He worked for several years as a Kinesiologist and certified personal trainer prior to returning to school for his Physical Therapy Degree.

Jessi joins our team with a long history of athletic experience. He was a member of the Canadian National Beach volleyball team from 2007-2011, as well as the U of T Varsity Blues from 2007-2009. Over his 8-year career as a professional beach volleyball player, competing on the FIVB World Tour, as well as the Brazilian, New Zealand, Swiss, Czech, US and Canadian Pro National Tours, Jessi has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in high performance training, therapy modalities, and injury prevention from world-class mentors around the globe.

Since his graduation from Queen’s, Jessi has continued his pursuit of higher education with the completion of the following certifications: McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program, Lynn Watson Shoulder Physiotherapy (Level 2), Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT level 2), Muscle Activation Therapy (MAT) Jumpstart Certification, Orthopaedic Division of Canada (level 2), Lower Extremity and Lumbo-Pelvic Certification from the Advanced Physiotherapy Education Institute (APTEI). Jessi has devoted significant time and resources to building his manual therapy and acupuncture skills, and believes that this, combined with patient education and functional exercise prescription, is the key to achieving positive patient outcomes that last.
