Biography

Jianjun has many years of hands-on experience helping people with neck and shoulder pain, lower back pain, knee pain, chronic muscular pain, muscle strains, sports-related injuries, and restricted movement. He combines traditional Chinese Tuina with Swedish massage, myofascial techniques, and stretching. He also offers acupuncture within his RMT scope of practice when appropriate.

Outside the clinic, Jianjun practises Tai Chi, Bagua, and traditional movement exercises. His regular practice of yoga and qigong further shapes his approach: he combines precise, attentive touch with breath and mindful energy to support relaxation and recovery after physical activity. He believes effective treatment involves more than strength alone. By coordinating breath, body movement, and focused attention, he brings controlled pressure and a sensitive touch to each treatment, helping patients move more comfortably and return to the activities they enjoy.

Jianjun earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He later studied traditional Chinese medicine and Tuina in Quebec. He held the MTA/RMT designation through the Association des Massotherapeutes du Quebec (AMQ) and was also awarded the title of Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage Therapist by a professional association. After moving to Ontario, he qualified as a Registered Massage Therapist and became a member in good standing of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
