Biography

Leirick Chung obtained his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. Prior to this, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Kinesiology at York University.

Leirick uses a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue release, acupuncture and active exercises in his practice. He is a graduate of the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University. He continues to pursue further advanced training and education in Manual Therapy and the McKenzie method.

Leirick also integrates his coaching and athletic experiences into his physiotherapy practice. Leirick is a certified NCCP Competition Development coach who led the provincial team as head coach of Karate Ontario from 2015-2016. As an elite athlete, he represented the Canadian National Karate team since 2004 and placed top seven at the 2015 Toronto Pan-American Games amongst his other achievements.

In his free time, Leirick enjoys staying active. He loves working out at the gym, hiking, skating and playing ball hockey.
