Physiotherapy Resident

Madeline Aarts began her journey in physiotherapy through an undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph in Biomedical Science, where she competed on the varsity Cross Country Skiing team. She completed additional workshops in leadership, became involved in research, and worked as a student-athlete mentor and a physiotherapy assistant. Madeline then completed her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. She has a deep love for learning, and has interests in orthopaedics, paediatrics, and women's health.

Since becoming a Physiotherapy Resident in October 2021, she has completed her Orthopedic Division Level 1 Certification in Manual Therapy and a course in Movement Analysis Practice focusing on postural alignment. She is completing her Level 1 in Pelvic Health therapy in December 2021, and plans on obtaining her certification for acupuncture in early 2022.

At Athletes Care, Madeline is looking forward to applying the most up to date and evidence-based treatment strategies to help clients reach their rehab goals! Using a combination of education, hands on and exercise based approaches, Madeline will help create an individualized and effective treatment program to address clients needs and set them up for success going forward. In her free time, Madeline enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active through various sports, and playing with her dog.
