Matt is a skilled Registered Massage Therapist and graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH). Throughout his educational and life experiences, Matt has developed a keen eye for evaluating the biomechanics of functional movement patterns. As an athlete and lifter himself, Matt understands the benefits and necessity for decreasing muscle soreness and increasing recovery time to enhance ones performance!
As an avid athlete throughout his youth, including playing hockey, golf, baseball and badminton, Matt developed an early interest in athletic training and biomechanics. He started his career in the fitness industry as a power skating instructor, and then branched out to sport-specific, functional, powerlifting and bodybuilding training. Matt has 16 years of training and lifting experience himself.
Having worked in the fitness industry for the past 14 years, and 3 years as an RMT, Matts wide range of treatment experience includes working with a variety of athletes; specifically powerlifters, weightlifters, IFBB pro bodybuilders, Jr A hockey players, golfers, OVA and university volleyball players, fitness models, soccer players, yoga instructors, and professional ballet, jazz and tap dancers. Other treatment and placement experiences include working with high risk pre and postnatal pregnancy clients, seniors, and a variety of clients with complex pathologies.
