Manual Therapy Level 4
Mindi started her career at the University of Toronto studying biology. She went on to graduate with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. While in school she studied the effects of muscle strength on knee coordination sense. Her research project was published in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association journal.
Mindi is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and its Orthopaedic Division. She has provided Physiotherapy coverage for various sporting events including the Toronto Marathon and the BMO Synchronized Skating Nationals.
She is a Full Body Certified ART(R)Provider and a certified AFCI acupuncture provider. Mindi has also completed post-graduate training in Manual Therapy (Level 4), McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (lower back and neck), Mulligan Mobilization Concept and Prevention of Running Injuries. She has also at taken many courses at the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute; lower back, neck, thoracic spine, sacro-iliac joint, shoulder, ankle, knee, hip and taping techniques.
She has extensive experience in treating acute and chronic muscle and joint injuries. Mindi has worked along side Orthopaedic Surgeons in a hospital's fracture clinic and has provided treatment for many post-surgical patients( i.e. ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization and fractures).
Mindi practises in a client-centred manner ensuring confidentiality, privacy and empathy. She treats each patient as an individual with their own specific goals. Her personal interests include long distance running and yoga.
